There is a wonderful comment in Rodger Deakin’s book Waterlog – a swimmers journey around Britain. Deakin quips that a family whom he visited solely for the purpose of swimming in their old mill pond ” had a history of coracle building”.
For some reason this simple comment has stuck. With me whimsically noting that unfortunately my own family was sadly lacking in the coracle building department.
I offer the photo as at least a minor redress.
